Acceptance of terms
These terms form a legal agreement between you and veoHMO Limited. By creating an account, enrolling in a plan, or using our app or website, you confirm that you have read and agreed to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.
Who we are
veoHMO Limited is a Nigerian-registered Health Maintenance Organisation. We provide pre-paid healthcare cover to individuals, families, and corporate groups, and route members to a network of accredited hospitals and clinics across Nigeria.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to register your own account. Members under 18 may be enrolled as dependents on a family or corporate plan by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for accepting these terms on their behalf.
Your account
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information when you register.
- Keep your password and digital card secure — do not share them.
- Notify us immediately at veohealthcareproviderltg@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
Plans, premiums, and payment
Each plan tier has a stated premium, benefit limits, and conditions. Premiums are quoted in Nigerian Naira and may be billed monthly or annually as you choose. Cover begins the moment your first payment clears (subject to any plan-specific waiting periods).
We may revise premiums and benefits from time to time. Renewals at a new premium will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel within 14 days of plan activation for a full refund, provided no claims have been made. After 14 days, cancellation takes effect at the next renewal date and we do not pro-rate premiums already paid. Corporate plans follow the cancellation terms set out in the corporate master agreement.
Claims and benefits
Most claims are submitted directly by the treating hospital — you do not need to file paperwork. For reimbursement claims (e.g. emergency care at a non-network hospital), submit within 30 days using the app or care line. Reimbursement claims are processed within 14 working days from receipt of complete documentation.
All claims are subject to your plan's benefit limits, waiting periods, and exclusions. Specific exclusions (e.g. cosmetic procedures, non-essential elective treatment) are listed in your plan document.
Provider network
We maintain a network of accredited hospitals and clinics. The network is reviewed and updated regularly — providers may join or leave without prior notice to members. The current network is searchable on the Find a provider page.
Telemedicine
Telemedicine is included on every plan and provided by Nigerian-licensed doctors. It is not a substitute for emergency care. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your nearest hospital or our care line immediately.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent claims or registration information.
- Use another member's card, account, or telemedicine session.
- Interfere with the security or integrity of our website, apps, or systems.
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate cover (with or without refund) for material breaches, fraud, or abuse, in accordance with Nigerian law.
Intellectual property
The veoHMO name, logo, website, apps, and content are owned by veoHMO Limited or our licensors. You may use them only as needed to access and use the services. All other rights are reserved.
Disclaimer of warranties
Our services are provided “as is”. We do our utmost to deliver reliable, high-quality healthcare cover, but we do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any specific treatment outcome will be achieved. Medical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating clinician.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the premiums you have paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a fresh “last updated” date. Material changes will be announced by email to active members at least 30 days before they take effect.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising under them will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; failing that, by mediation; and ultimately, if still unresolved, by the competent courts of Lagos State.
